MEET YOUR GUIDES
JENNIFER BYRNE
Jen has designed both in- and out-of-house for national museums, Fortune 500 companies, and international non-profits for over 25 years. Following her love of building brand identities, she founded Live.Create.Play.LLC® in 2006 to serve clients independently.
As Maya Angelou said, “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” Jen found her own voice through a variety of artistic mediums which proved to be the vary avenue to meaningful expression and connection. Jen now makes her life’s work helping others identify and visually express their messages—both professionally and personally.
This passion for creating visual identity frameworks inspired the formation of Little Main Street Playhouses LLC,® in 2013—a playhouse and educational activity product company that builds imagination and encourages individuality in children. At its core, the goals are much the same as that of her brand development work with Live.Create.Play. clients—self-discovery with the purpose of connecting ideas, people, and the larger world.
She currently serves on the board of Let’s Play America, has taught visual storytelling at the Corcoran College of Art and Design, and enjoys leading art vision workshops in the DMV area.
CHRIS BYRNE
Chris has over 25+ years of experience art directing, designing, and managing magazines that have won him numerous awards for business-to-business publications. Dreaming up unique and fun products, finding/sharing inspiration, and streamlining workflow systems are among his natural strengths. Currently Chris supports Live.Create.Play. as the main designer with his finger on strategic development. His keen sense of human nature brings fresh ideas, humor, and a sense of levity to the collective workspace. He enjoys listening to music, playing guitar, and cheering on his favorite football teams and is the biggest fan around when it comes to his team of 4 (rather, 5) here.
ZANDRA
Zandra is a loyal companion with an unwavering trust with the flow of life. Her singular, personal, and very focused goal of being the food-service manager is inspirational in its own way. It’s always good to have an eternal optimist on board!
The goal of a designer is to listen, observe, understand, sympathize, empathize,
synthesize and glean insight that enables him or her to make the invisible visible.
