Jennifer Byrne

For more than 30 years, Jen has been helping people create experiences that inspire connection and participation through storytelling, design, education, and community.
Professionally, her career began in DC’s cultural institutions, where she honed her technical skillsets at the National Gallery of Art designing publications and exhibition graphics. From there Jen joined the National Building Museum as their in-house Publications Manager where she had the opportunity to rebrand all print and wayfinding signage to bring clarity and cohesion to their graphics. Jen designed a brand system that spoke to the wide range of audiences while maintaining a single unified presence. The brand foundation she built is still in place almost two decades years later.
As the founder of Live.Create.Play.,® Jen’s work has evolved over the last 20 years into a mix of creating brand systems and organizational storytelling for clients. This takes on many forms but all have a common thread that all lead to creating connections with people and the larger world.
Jen’s passion for fostering connection and visual storytelling extends beyond client work. She serves as an advisor to Let’s Play America®, is a recurring professional reviewer for the University of Maryland’s Creative Placemaking program, has taught graduate-level exhibition design at the Corcoran College of Art & Design, and facilitates creative vision-building workshops that facilitate self-discovery through art for DMV mission-driven organizations.
She is also the creator of Little Main Street Playhouses®, a patented educational initiative that combines art, storytelling, and dramatic play to help children build imagination, empathy, and community from an early age. It reflects the same principles that guide all of her work: thoughtfully designed experiences have the power to spark curiosity and strengthen relationships to facilitate building a brighter world.
Chris Byrne

Chris has more than 30 years of experience creating visual communications for government agencies, national organizations, museums, and schools. His client experience on everything from publications to storytelling infographics to exhibition graphics includes HHS, NIH, CDC, HRSA, SAMHSA, and PhRMA..
In addition to designing, Chris researches historical content, develops visual storylines, and streamlines creative workflows behind the scenes. His curiosity, collaborative spirit, and sense of humor bring energy and fresh ideas to every project.
Chris also serves as the team’s guide throughout the creative process. By keeping an eye on scope, timelines, and resources, he helps transform ambitious ideas into achievable solutions that deliver lasting value for every client.
Together with Jen, he bridges inspiration and implementation—combining research, storytelling, strategy, and craftsmanship to create Community Build Experiences™ hat are as authentic as they are impactful.
