Creator. Connector of people and products.
Jen has 25 years experience designing both in- and out-of-house. From 1995-2000, Jen created graphics and printed materials for over seventy exhibitions at the National Gallery of Art. In 2000, she joined the National Building Museum to design and manage all Museum publications and signage. Having developed the Museum’s overall graphic identity and subbrands that run the gamut of audiences and disciplines, she developed a love for building brands. She left that in-house role in 2005 to provide the same for independent clients and has since designed exhibit graphics, wayfinding signage, and event packages for Fortune 100 companies. She especially enjoys advising on all aspects of experience design in event and tradeshow spaces.
Jen developed curriculum and taught Visual Storytelling at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in the graduate exhibition design program. She also creates and facilitates art workshops for women to guide them into creating their own personal visual manifestos. Past experiences have included designing window displays for department stores and fabricating costumes university theater productions.
In 2013, she formed Little Main Street Playhouses LLC, a playhouse and educational activity product company that builds imagination and draws out individuality in children. At its core, the goals are much the same as that of the brand development work with Live.Create.Play. clients—self-discovery with the purpose of connecting ideas and people.
Future plans include building a themed tiny home community with her family where they host creative workshops around art, music, movement, and mindfulness.
