The Royal Danish Embassy wanted to illustrate their story through a series of retractable banners that could stand alone individually as well as translate as a full story if featured together. By incorporating their logo into a simple design in the form of a question used in conjunction with subtle background imagery, we were able to both engage and retain the visitor’s attention in a balanced way.

The National Association of Community Health Centers was looking to develop a cohesive look and feel for all 5 of their yearly conferences that would enable flexibility without reinventing the wheel every year. We established a set of universal design guidelines that we used to create the logo lockup and general layout for each that can be used for years to come.

Easterseals DC MD VA needed a look and feel for their event. We created the logo and supporting brand assets through the development of a flyer that they were able to use in social media graphics and other items as needed. The graphic assets we provided enabled them to manage the production and printing on their own with professional results.

The Art Deco Society of Washington, DC needed a look/feel for their exhibition. We created the logo and a framework to “house” the story that reflected Sforzina’s aesthetic. The 16 retractable banners enabled the mobility for this exhibition in the space and/or to travel to other venues.

The National Building Museum’s had an existing logo but was lacking brand cohesion with their collateral. We created a set of brand guidelines through the use of typography, color, and layout that established the foundation of the brand’s overall look & feel. The result was a cohesive suite of marketing materials that truly reflected their brand position in the field architecture, engineering, and the built environment. The comprehensive brand design development included creating sub-brands that resonated with their many audiences, yet still held together as an overarching brand family of materials.

The National Building Museum needed an interactive experience that complimented the traveling Lego model exhibition coming to their galleries. We took the existing core exhibition brand elements and created an engaging, locally-inspired space for both children and adults alike. We designed a two-tier realistic D.C. map built at varying heights to accommodate visitors of all ages and accessibility needs. Additionally, 4 smaller fantasy maps were designed and built to accommodate Duplex Legos for the youngest visitors. Additional interactive elements included “graffiti” walls, scavenger hunt wall graphics, and “peek-a-boo” gallery window solutions. All “experience” areas were built with mobility, Lego storage, ease of use, and sustainability in mind. We repurposed many existing on hand materials, saving them time and money in the process.

**The National Building Museum wanted to express the sophistication of the exhibition’s content.** We utilized the unique space constraints to tell the story through a series of panels, wall murals, dimensional metal lettering that allowed the content to stand out while highlighting the detailed nature of the artist’s work in subtle ways. **Specific metallic materials were selected to further illustrate the story.**

**The National Building Museum** needed a fun, engaging graphic experience to set the stage for their interactive exhibition. We designed the logo, way finding, and graphics with a family-fun feel which included giant flags of various materials and editable leaderboards. All graphic panels were printed directly on wood to echo the look/feel of the hand-built furniture in the space.

BUILD AWARENESS

The University of Maryland School of Architecture was looking to tell a story that invited **visitor**s to take time to understand how historical events shape today’s world. Distinct spaces were created with color and layout to separate the contextual event facts from the intentionally small areas intended to inspire individual reflection. Muted blues and soft yellows aimed to honor the somber nature of the content as well as create a sense of possibility and hope juxtaposed in the reflection areas. Intentionally placed questions served as way-finding markers to the content within each cubby.

The District Architect Center needed to entice visitors from the street and keep them engaged enough to meander through the space once they came in. We designed a series window graphics and moveable signage that reflected the spirit of the flight of the bees. The educational content was highlighted with iconographic shapes and whimsical patterns inspired by the bees themselves!

**The University of Maryland School of Engineering had ad campaign but no visual expression of it.** We took the client’s messaging of growth and transformation and created 5 sets of large-scale banners that reflected their journey from past to present in celebration of their 125 anniversary. The campaign signage was showcased in their building lobby as well as on drones used to transport medical equipment and live hearts for life-saving purposes.
