Double Duties
Now that both kids had a store to call their own, the question became what did Chris and I want that would enhance the vibe of the street? A diner seemed just the thing when I stumbled upon 3 mini-stools at a local antique store. To accommodate them properly, it was clear we had to double the size of the playhouse.
Sometimes you just gotta go with the flow when you find gems like the stools along the way. BOTTOM LINE:
(1) Recognize something special when you see it.
(2) Reprioritize.
(3) Operate accordingly.
Facilitating hands-on activities to happen is also part of the charm. We added to the ambiance with a walk-up ordering area, outdoor patio seating, checkerboard flooring, and found accessories from some of my fav local discount stores.
Zandra, quickly found her fit as the food services manager in addition to her overall groundskeeper duties around here. Some jobs just make themselves.
Now that everyone was on staff, we finally had a true family business!
